Rudolph

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here today :)

Do you ever look at an image and know straightaway what you're going to do with it?

I was riffling through my stamps the other day, trying to choose who to play with, when Rudolph jumped at me. I knew straightaway I wanted to give him a paper pieced present. And I knew exactly which piece of paper I wanted to use. Funny really, because other times I can spend HOURS debating this kind of issue...

And yes, I still love Christmas and its nearly March. Oh boy, I'm off for a sit down!

Thanks so much for stopping by... Have a great day.

Sunny Happy 'Hello'

Hello Whimsy fans, Cindy here today. Hope your week is going well!  I want to share a card I made  using one of the new February release stamps from Crissy Armstrong 'Doggie and kite'

I colored this cutie with Copic markers. I also used the Clearly Whimsy 'Happy Hello' set for the sentiment and sun.

The sentiment was stamped with Versafine ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
The sun I stamped on design paper, fussy-cut it out and added some Stickles.

Hope you like my card.
Have a fabulous weekend!
Cindy

Elephant and Flowers

Good morning Whimsy Fans!  I hope your week has gone well and you've found some crafty time!
I think this stamp is overloaded with the cuteness factor:)

This stamp by Lee Holland is called Elephant with Flower.
The background was done with Distress Paints and Sprays.  I did a video on this technique several months ago and I promise it's super easy, though maybe a little messy!

This cutie was colored up with Copics, and polychromo colored pencils.

Thanks for swinging by for a visit today!

Bonnie

Hello!  My card today features Bonnie by Sylvia Zet.  Cute or what?!?  It’s from the February release which is crammed full of the most adorable stamps ♥

Celebrate

Hi everyone!
Kristie here today, my turn to share a Whimsy creation with you.
For today's card I used Puzzle Pieces die set along with a sentiment from Happy Hanukkah.
For my card I used the puzzle piece dies to create windows along my panel.  I then sponged distress inks onto my card base, flicked with water to make some awesome water spots.  I attached the top panel with dimensionals, stamped the sentiment from Happy Hanukkah.  Embellished with rhinestones and some twine to finish off my card.
That is all from me for today!  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great day!
xoxo
Kristie

Wee Sweetie!

Hi Everyone!

It's Shannah here today to share some Whimsy Inspiration with you!

My card today features the absolutely adorable 'Sweetie' from Wee Stamps. How cute is she? I have also used the 'Double Scalloped Doily Die' available at Whimsy Stamps.

My Sweetie image is stamped in Momento Tuxedo ink and coloured with Copic markers, and I've sponged it with Distress inks.

The papers are from the Nitwits 'Time for Tea' digital collection, and I've embellished the card with ribbon, lace, flowers and pearls.

I hope you like it! You can see more details on my Blog;  Embellished ExpresShan's.

Thanks so much for visiting today and hope you have a great week!

A little prince....

Hello Whimsy Stamps peeps how are you all, I hope this post find you all well?
So what did you all think of our latest release! aren't the new stamps to die for,
all so cute and cuddly, which is leading me into my Inspiration piece.
For my CAS card today i have used the adorable Frog Prince
Artist and Illustrator Silvia Zet at Wee Stamps .

I didn't overload the card with lots of embellishments
because he is  Valentines image, but i think he could also be an awesome
Spring or Easter card.  So Without further ado....

I coloured him with Copics, YG 01, 03, 07, G14 his darker green bits are
YG 91, 95, 99.
Have a lovely Thursday Whimsy friends and i will see you same time,
same place next month until then
Take care of yourselves
Hugs Bridget :) xx

How's it Growing?

Hello friends!  Vicki here to share a card to get you in the mood for Spring!
With all of the snow on the ground, I'm ready to start thinking about flowers and planting!
I have decided to pull out these super fun Spring themed products for my design which are from the Clearly Whimsy Stamps collection:  In the Garden - discount Bundle.  (You can purchase each item separately of course, but you get the discount when you purchase the bundle.)

For my card design, I was following a sketch when putting this together.  I have die cut the watering can with some silver card stock and I've also die cut the fence and grass along the bottom portion of my design.  The flowers were inked up and fussy cut out and popped up over the design with foam tape on both the fence and watering can dies.

I have used the Stitched Border die Trio set to make the stitched lines on the sides of my popped up card panel that has been popped up with some craft foam over an A2 sized vanilla card base.  I've added a blue scalloped border and yellow ribbon in the center of the design and then I decided to use the water drops and stitched clouds over the vanilla card base panel.  I took some glossy accents and added it over the water drops for some shine.  I also used a Wink of Stella glitter pen to cover the flowers with for a bit of sparkle.

Today is also the start of the February Whimsy Stamps Challenge!
It's a really easy theme of "Anything Goes" so we look forward to seeing your creations!
Be sure to stop by and check out the wonderful inspiration from the team!

Hope you've enjoyed my card today!
Thanks for dropping in!

Honey Little Spring Helper

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I am showing off one of the brand new February Release images "Honey Little Spring Helper" by Elisabeth Bell's Little Cottage Cuties Collection.  Don't you just swoon over Elisabeth Bell images?

I colored with Copics (colors below) And matched up with papers from Bo Bunny's Li' Miss Collection. I sewed down the pattern papers on to inked cream card stock, and light green card stock. I took one of the striped pattern papers and created a border with the Double Scallop Die also from Whimsy. I love this border die it is so versatile. Then the Whimsy Vine Die Set for something for thos mulberry roses to grown on. And then one more Whimsy Die "hello"  My tip for the day is don't stress when your papers or embellishments don't match up with your papers. My Hello sentiment and those roses... they were cream colored to start off. I used one of my Copics and colored them to match! Makes your supplies go so much farther!

Inside the card more of the same papers -

Copic colors used -

Make sure to visit the Whimsy Web Site to see all the NEW release items! Fabulous selection of great items again this month!

Thanks -

Stinker Love

Hello everyone!  Becky here to show you a Valentine card I made using a li'l stinker.

I made this card by taking some ink with my watercolor pen/brush and coloring a part of a white panel.  I added some grass with a copic marker, then popped up a die-cut skunk (Lil Stinker, Lil Stinker die set).  I die-cut a tiny heart from Say What Speech Bubble die set and adhered it to make it look like the skunk is holding it. I popped up the skunk and added the sentiment (You Complete Me and Lil Stinker).  Three little heart outlines from You Complete Me and some stitched lines on the edge from Basic Backgrounds and Borders finish off the main panel.
I adhered it to a tilted blue panel on a white base.
Thanks for stopping by!
